You are the administrator of your blog. But you'd like to have other people (students, colleagues, friends, etc.) create and post content to your blog. Adding contributing authors to your blog is the answer!
Contributing authors:
- have permission to post content
- have rights to edit their own posts, but not the posts of others
- cannot alter the blog template, colors, layout
- can create a unique blogger profile with their picture, email, fav movies, etc.
You can have
up to 100 contributing authors on a blog. As the blog administrator, just click on
Settings > Permissions to put in emails of those you wish to invite as contributing authors.
Here are the steps a contributing author will be asked to complete if they accept your email invitation.
Step 1: Create a Google account. If they already have a gmail account they wish to use, they can use that. If they wish to use a different email account, such as PALS or yahoo or etc., they can use that, too. Click the graphic to enlarge:
Step 2: Sign in to Blogger using that email/password:
Step 3: Click on New Post and start blogging!
